Girl Meets The Forgiveness Project

You could immediately tell that his episode would stir up emotions just from the title but this episode did so much more. Man, Riley is slipping this season, since Maya is getting all of the attention. We see right from the beginning that Maya's dad comes back into the picture.

                                      ******Spoiler's Ahead********

The Lesson: The most powerful thing that we can do is forgive someone.

Maya: In the beginning all of Maya's friends coerce her into forgiving her dad. She makes it very clear that she doesn't want Riley to medal her way into this one. This is really important for Maya because it is something that she needed to do for herself. That lesson is eventually explained to her in depth at the end. Corey asks her "Did you forgive yourself?" Maya had blamed herself for her dad running away. Her mom was able to stop her from doing that for a while but once Shawn exposed her mom's secret it only became natural for her to blame herself.
Auggie: Well, this piece was foreshadowed from "Girl Meets Brother", when Auggie became jealous of Maya. He really loves his sister but he sees certain things as a threat such as: Maya and Beary the Bear Bear. He doesn't get the chance to hang out with his sister as much as he would like. I thought that Auggie was coping with this by being friends with Dewey and Ava?

Kermit: It is absolutely insane to finally meet this character. I have been waiting for something like this for a while. This episode reminded me slightly of the book "Dear Mr Henshaw", but the biggest difference in this version is that Kermit wasn't a jerk. He was a good guy, he had just made a mistake. He really wanted to make amends, especially since Maya reach out to him. He left respectfully, and allowed Maya to process her closure. He was quiet, he was embarrassed, he hated his past. The biggest problem with this was that Kermit didn't make any real effort to be apart of Mayas life, and it feels like he wanted to leave his past behind.
Farkle: Now this was special to me. I really like Farkle's character, and I liked his friendship with Zay and Lucas. In this episode we see Farkle trying to show off constantly. It irritates them, and he wants to prove to them that he has something special about him. The cool thing about this is that they still like and apprecate Farkle even though he is really annoying.

Theory: Previously I mentioned a theory I had that involved Angela, I stand firm in my idea about Angela and Kermit. We learned that Kermit has a new family. That family could be with Angela!

Tune in on Friday, November 13, 2015 for a brand new episode called "Girl Meets Belief"
